Details: “Hiking Oregon’s Native History: 14,000 Years of Legends and Culture
is an illustrated talk by hiking guru and outdoors author Bill Sullivan. See where the first Oregonians lived by Ice Age lakes, watched Mt. Mazama erupt, told legends of a Bridge of the Gods, and dealt with pioneer settlers in times of peace and times of war. Sullivan is a fifth-generation Oregonian and author of the popular “100 Hikes” guidebooks, as well as other books about the outdoors, memoirs, and novels. This event is part of the NEA Big Read. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
