Details: The University of Oregon’s Dept. of Dance presents its annual Faculty Dance Concert in the Dougherty Dance Theatre, featuring choreography and performances from dance department faculty and students. The program includes choreography by associate professor Shannon Mockli, “Shadows Fading, Echoes of Remembering”; professor Steven Chatfield’s new work, “The Wonder of The One”; associate professor Brad Garner’s “Dance for Pieces of Wood”; and senior instructor Rita Honka’s “Trio B.” Also on the program is “Game Plan,” choreographed in 1974 by legendary West Coast choreographer Bella Lewitzky (1916-2004), and a premiere of choreographer Vincent Mantsoe’s “Cut, ” a new work drawing from the physical labor that was an essential part of his youth in South Africa.
