“Fashion for Every Body” design challenge, Emerald Art Center
The Emerald Art Center seeks aspiring Oregon fashion designers to participate in our first Concept to Creation fashion exhibition challenge, “Fashion for Every Body.” This design opportunity includes any aspect of fashion, regardless of gender, style, body type, physical challenge or level of mobility. It will be an all inclusive show, featuring designs for every body.
Once the designer has chosen her/his focus, there will be three parts to the exhibit: 1) Initial sketches, showing the ideas behind the completed piece; 2) Swatches of fabric used to create the garment and design changes; and Part 3, the completed garment. Designers must bring their own mannequin to display their garment.
The fashion show that results will be limited to 12 designers. The exhibit will run April 3-28, with a fashion show and reception for the designers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13.

March 20: Deadline for designer selection
March 22: Notification to accepted designers
