Details from the Eugene Symphony: Fiery pianist Natasha Paremski brings one of her signature works to Eugene – Tchaikovsky’s powerful Piano Concerto No. 1, which has been known to make the audience leap to its feet at the end. The orchestra responds in kind with blazing passion in Danish composer Carl Nielsen’s Fourth Symphony, The Inextinguishable, driven by what he described as “the elemental will to live.” The program begins with festive music by Grażyna Bacewicz – a favorite of Eugene Maestro Francesco Lecce Chong’s – that brims with vitality and joy.
